Assistant Operations Manager

  • Performs hands-on duties as needed to deliver guest services
  • To assist the Operations Manager to ensure efficient running of the Front Office and F&B daily operations, including manpower planning and rostering.
  • Conducts inspection of guest rooms especially VIP rooms, facilities and public area
  • To welcome VIPs upon their arrival
  • Preparation of daily, weekly & monthly reports
  • To attend to guest complaints and incidents as and when arises
  • Understands and follows policies and procedures for key control system and ensures others are trained in same
  • To support the F&B outlets during busy period
  • Ensure orientations for new team members are through and complete in a timely fashion.
  • Schedule, plan and coordinate activities/resident nights
  • Maintains a positive cooperative work environment between associates and management
  • Ensures all associates, including contract staff, new hires, know all components/features of our guest service guarantee and are trained to meet service standards; develops added value customer service programs
  • Manages human resource functions including recruiting, selection, orientation, training, and performance planning and evaluation to maintain a qualifies work force
  • Ensure adherence to all credit policies and procedure to reduce bad debts
  • Analyses financial and operation information on ongoing basis to adjust business plans, labour requirements and operating cost
  • Anticipates revenue/cost problems and manages the timing of discretionary expenditures
  • Achievement of revenue and cost objectives

  • Diploma/Degree in Hospitality or equivalent
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in Front Office operations
